On March 9, CTC held its annual dodgeball tournament, with 12 teams competing to win the coveted first place title.
Senior Lauren Dunkel, a member of Dodger-Mifflin and one of the runner-up teams, said, “It was very thrilling, and a lot of fun. If I had the chance to do it again, I would.” The members of Dunkel’s team, Dodger-Mifflin, each represented characters on the hit TV show The Office, with each member of the team basing their character choice on their own personalities. “I chose Stanley” Dunkel said, “because he’s very sarcastic and grumpy, but he’s one of the best characters on the whole entire show.”
The winner of the tournament was the freshman team, Average Joes, who had fought hard through the preliminary first rounds and slayed the competition in the finals. The team, composed of all freshmen, surprised their upperclassmen peers with their strength and diligent performance. By the time the next CTC dodgeball tournament rolls around, be sure to watch for the Average Joes, for they might make a comeback and reclaim first place once again.
