Spreading love on Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day. What really is it? According to Google Define, Valentine’s Day is a day for the exchange of tokens of affection. It is a day to show the one, or ones, you love, how much you love them. Not many people know, but Valentine’s Day was started to honor the death of Saint Valentine.
Some people love this holiday that comes around in the middle of February. Others truly dislike it. Whether or not you have a special someone in your life, Valentine’s Day can still be fun!
If you are lucky enough to have a special Valentine, it is often hard to come up with ideas for gifts and ways to celebrate. Chocolates, flowers, cards, and stuffed animals are always classic and appreciated gifts.
Try straying away from the norm and coming up with a creative way to show your special someone your love. Consider writing a love letter, creating a list of things you love about the person, or making a picture collage. These “mushy” gift ideas are always a hit.
If you don’t have a significant other to celebrate Valentine’s Day with, don’t get down! There are plenty of fun ways to enjoy the day anyway.
Consider grabbing a bunch of friends and going out to a fun dinner together or going to a movie. Try exchanging simple but thoughtful gifts between one another or surprising your friends with a note or box of candy in their lockers.
You are never too old to hand out those silly cut out Valentine’s bought at the drugstore. No one can hold back a smile upon receiving one.
Get out there and spread the love this year!
