New Flame Brings a New Beginning

As we all know the well known R&B artist Chris Brown, we hear “New Flame” on the radio all the time. Since the single “New Flame” is constantly on the radio, R&B artist Chris Brown is obviously back in the spotlight. This hot beat dropped on his latest album X. Many fans love the song and the album, Brown shows off his new music and comments on how he feels about this particular album.

“New Flame” was a promotional single that was released before Brown’s album X came out. Take a listen using the link below.

Brown told Rolling Stone magazine this album’s meaning and hints about his sixth album. “Making X, I found out who I am. This album has a lot of substance, from the subject matter and the situations to how it deals with love. It’s really derived from personal experience. Then again, I always like mixing reality with art”. Brown expresses that this album and the song is something different that what he has released previously.

Brown said mentioned how the sound and inspiration varies this time around, “I tried to stay away from the Euro beats, and not go totally pop. Instead, I wanted to take the Quincy Jones approach. The record pays homage to the Stevie Wonders, the Michael Jacksons, the Sam Cookes: I wanted to put that classic essence of R&B and soul with the new age of music now. There’s a lot of live instruments, and a lot less Auto-Tune. I really wanted to demonstrate my vocal ability, creating the vibe of me singing along with a band.” Brown wants to show the world who he really is.

With this new track out and his album on top of that, Billboard rated the album and they said, “‘After his June release, Brown is returning to the spotlight, conducting his first post-jail interview for Billboard’s Sept. 13 issue and finally unleashing X.The album is solid, with several potential hits. But it’s also over-packed, with a whopping 17 tracks and nine all-star features, including Rick Ross and Lil Wayne. Credit the album’s over long gestation period, or a 25-year-old fresh out of jail and too eager to impress cynics — either way, the LP would benefit from fat-trimming, especially on its lustful first half”’. In other words, Billboard knows that the album is top notch but they are hoping that with Brown’s new start after jail time, that he will get a new start and learn from his mistakes. His music shows a new side of him that wasn’t always noticeable before.
