Senior Jon Arthur was given the honor of a full scholarship to the college, New York University. Along with being one of the top of his class, Arthur also excelled the arts. He is a part of marching band, concert band, and was even honored with being inducted into the Pennsylvania State band.His involvement in extra curriculars played a rather large factor to his acceptance into college. But as one of Suburbans finest Arthur never knew how far those activities would take him.
Jon Arthur was given the Dean Scholarship in mid March with his notification of exception. Arthur recaps his reaction, “I was in complete shock.”
Jon is extremely honored to have his tuition paid especially to a top college such as NYU. He still remembers the day he saw the offer in detail and will remember it for a very long time, Arthur said, “ I saw the acceptance email and I was already excited. When I kept reading and saw their offer to pay for my tuition, I couldn’t believe it. I went and showed my parents and they pretty much reacted the same way. It’s a huge honor.”
Jon graduated on May 29th along with the rest of his anxious class. From here he will enjoy a nice summer and then start his venture in New York on a sweet ride to make paper.
