Impact Foundation Drives for Donations

During the week prior to the Dollars for Scholars Battle of the Buildings (BOB) competition held on Saturday, February 4, the Impact Foundation ran a district wide donation drive to collect more items for the Impact Closets located in all six York Suburban buildings. The Impact Foundation partnered with Dollars for Scholars and the Parent Teacher Organization’s (PTO’s) to make this event possible. Without their support, the Impact Foundation would not have been able to collect so many items. The Impact Foundation joined in the BOB competition by awarding points to each item that was donated. The school with the most points at the end of the week got five points added to their team total at the BOB event. The winning team was the Intermediate Ironmen who had a total of 2,214 points. Primary Powerhouse secured second place with 1,034 points. For added fun, the Yorkshire and Valley View PTO’s teamed up with IF by promoting their drive during the celebration of their 100th day of school. The Impact Foundation collected 1,900 items in total! All these items will  stock the closets, and help the Impact Foundation supply students throughout the district with items and materials that they need. The Impact Foundation is a student-led committee of the York Suburban Education Foundation (YSEF), and their motto is Students Helping Students.
