A total of eighty-five (85) rising first through fifth graders from each of the four elementary schools (East York, Indian Rock, Valley View, & Yorkshire) participated in a three week York Suburban Summer Camp enrichment program funded by the York Suburban Education Foundation. The full day program, Fizz, Boom, Read – Full STEAM Ahead!, included instruction in reading and math, while integrating STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) components brought to life through inquiry-based learning and hands-on activities.
