On March 11, 2015 the York County Science & Engineering Fair held the 32nd annual Awards Ceremony at the Pullo Center on the campus of Penn State York.
Thirty seven York Suburban Middle School 8th graders participated in the Junior Division (grades 7-9) at the fair on March 9 and 10.
Eighth grader Zoe Prats was award the Grand Champion of the Junior Division for her project, “Radiation Shielding Study of Various Glove Types.” Eighth grader Lilly Cook was awarded the Reserve Grand Champion of the Junior Division for her project, “Does the Temperature of a Solar Cell Affect its Efficiency?”
The following eighth graders also won awards: ASM South Central PA Chapter Award, Zoe Prats; Engineering Society of York Award, Rahad Khan; James R Holley & Associates Award, Bryn Walsh; Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers Award, Zoe Prats; Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Luke Sargen; York Township, Bryn Walsh; American Physological Association, Madison Barshinger; RICOH Americas Corporation, Lilly Cook; United States Air Force, Caleb West; United States Navy, Zoe Prats, Lilly Cook and Ellen Korver.
