York Suburban Dollars for Scholars was sorry to learn of the passing of Ronald Provard in December. Ron was one of our founding members.  He volunteered for over 12 years as the Dollars for Scholars Treasurer and Board Member, oversaw the payment of over 185 scholarships, and helped create an endowment of almost $600,000.  His volunteer time and efforts directly helped dozens of YS students. He was a great man, a great asset to our group, and a tremendous influence in helping the district in reaching numerous goals.  On behalf of the York Suburban Dollars for Scholars, our condolences to his family and friends.

The outpouring of support for Ron is clear in the contributions and notes we have received since his passing. We would like to acknowledge those contributions received to date and thank those who honor Ron’s memory and commitment to scholarship. Please know that these donations will be directly used to support student scholarships awarded in May.
