Orange and Black Days Promote Unity

York Suburban’s Unity Council, formerly the Diversity Committee, will be hosting another Orange and Black (or Black and Orange!) Spirit Day on Tuesday, March 14. The District-wide Spirit Days promote the concept of solidarity.  Every student, teacher, and staff member donning their York Suburban Trojan colors, demonstrates our unity and belief that every student, teacher, and staff member matters.  Proudly wearing our TROJAN colors on each spirit day signifies we care for one another and we are YS Proud.  We invite everyone in our York Suburban community to participate in our TROJAN Spirit Days.

Our remaining TROJAN Spirit Days will be held on:

Tuesday, March 14 and Wednesday, May 24

Mark your calendars now!

YS students and staff are YS Proud!

NHS Completes Successful Food Drive

Submitted by Dr. Brian Ellis

honorsocietyThe National Honor Society ran the high school’s annual food drive in collaboration with the York County Food Bank.   High school students brought in a total of 2035 cans/food items as part of the drive, nearly twice the amount collected during the 2015 drive.   As always, there’s competition between classrooms to collect the most food, but Mr. Toren’s FLEX students always seem to come away victorious.   Mr. Toren and his 17 FLEX  students brought in a total of 916 cans!  That’s almost half of the high school’s total.  Thanks to all the high school participants for giving back to the community.
