Carter Fry Wins Spring Shorts 2017 Film Awards

Junior Carter Fry won three awards in the Dallastown Area High School’s 2017 Spring Shorts film contest. The awards show was held on May 18.

Fry’s entry in the five-minute video contest, Isolement, took home the honor for Best Cinematography, Best Acting, and Best Sound design. Fry’s video was nominated in six categories including Best Directing, Best Editing, and Best of Festival.

Sophomore Noah Wilt was the lead actor in the film.

Dallastown’s Spring Shorts program started nine years ago. This year there were over 60 entries from 10 different schools in York and Adams counties.
