With the 2016-2017 school year coming to an end, you may be looking for a meaningful way to recognize a teacher or other YSSD staff member that made a difference in your student’s life or maybe even your life. Maybe a Reading Specialist worked with your student and now he/she is reading proficiently or even advanced? Did your student’s bus driver do an outstanding job this year? Has the principal at your student’s building made your student feel welcome and valued?
If so, the York Suburban Education Foundation has a way to recognize these YSSD staff members. A YSEF Tribute Card.
For a minimum of $5, you can make a tax-deductible donation to YSEF while showing a special staff member how much they are appreciated. A Tribute Card form is on the YSEF website, you can visit the YSSD website, under the Community Flyers tab for the YSEF Tribute Card order form or you can click on this link to be taken directly to the form: YSEF Tribute Cards .
Tribute Cards can be delivered directly to the YSSD staff person by YSEF volunteers or the Card(s) can be sent to the family to personalize and students can deliver the Tribute Card to the YSSD staff person.
Funds raised through the YSEF Tribute Cards support the YSEF mission—providing funding for innovative programs that enhance the educational experience and foster continued academic excellence for York Suburban students. YSEF has awarded 114 grants totaling $264,188 to teachers, administrators and students since its inception in 2008.
