The York Suburban Early Learning Programs, managed by Bright Horizons, held “Curriculum Nights” for our Preschool, Kindergarten Prep, and Kindergarten Enrichment families in September. We invited our families to visit our program to learn more about our philosophy and curriculum, The World at Their Fingertips. Our programs meet the age appropriate needs of children in all curriculum areas including literacy, science, math, and the arts as well as beginning the process of preparation for school and life. Information on our supplemental curriculum materials “Handwriting without Tears” and “Everyday Math” was also presented.  Both of these research proven programs include developmentally appropriate classroom activities as well as ways to continue the learning at home.

At Bright Horizons, we meet children where they are developmentally. We believe that children learn best when we build on their individual strengths. We view early education is an opportunity to nurture children’s curiosity and inquisitiveness, develop problem solvers and decision makers, and prepare children with the academic foundation to achieve success in school and in life. Our teachers actively engage children through intentional teaching practices that guide each child’s social, physical, emotional, and cognitive development, creating a joyful classroom environment that fosters cooperation and a sense of community. We do all this with respect for each child and in full partnership with families.
