A tree was planted by the Buddy Bench at East York Elementary in memory of Tony Mingora., who recently lost his battle with cancer. Tony volunteered his time for the Miles in the Morning running program at East York. He was always positive with his encouragement and the program is a great way to encourage students that love to run and also to encourage students to improve their physical fitness. Our hope is that the tree will be a living reminder of Tony’s support and of our appreciation for his efforts on behalf of our East York students.
