On October 7, members of the YS boys’ volleyball team put on women’s high heels and walked a mile through Downtown York. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is an international men’s march that raises awareness and funds to eliminate gender violence in local communities. The team has  raised over $1,600 to support domestic violence victims and prevention programs.  Donations are still gratefully excepted.

Why? Because domestic violence and sexual assault aren’t just women’s issues. While most men are good guys, 90% of perpetrators are men. Walk A Mile In Her Shoes is a way for the good guys to take a stand and make a difference.

Please help us help YWCA York on their mission to end violence against women and girls.  If you would like to donate and support the team’s effort for this important cause, our site is http://www.kintera.org/faf/search/searchTeamPart.asp?ievent=1164217&team=6863944&emaillogid=
