Whitsons Hires New District Chef

Whitsons Culinary Group  is excited to share the hiring of a new District Chef for York Suburban.  Chef Sean Arnold develops and taste-tests recipes, trains staff in “from scratch” cooking techniques, and teaches culinary skills that increase productivity, efficiency and safety in the kitchen.. His tasty and nutritious health-centered approach to cooking and eating inspires our menus, students and staff.

Sean Arnold, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and Green Mountain College with a Master’s of Science in Sustainable Food Systems, is a forward-thinking and multi-talented food service leader with more than 15 years’ experience driving teams to success while promoting sustainable and environmentally-conscious initiatives. Sean started working in the food industry when he was in college at Elon University. Sean has years of experience feeding large groups of people while acting as the Director of Dining Services at Oldfields School for Flik Independent Schools, Towson University, Garrison Forest School and Calvert Hall College High School for SAGE Dining Services, and started his career at York College as Associate Director of Dining Services. Sean looks forward to continuing his passion of learning, and to educate others on the importance of local sustainable food. Sean is currently the Executive Chef for Underground West, a personal and private event company serving South Central Pennsylvania and Central Maryland.
