The York Suburban Middle School had two special events in October: “Caught in the Middle Day” and a Spirit Rally.
“Caught in the Middle Day” allowed students to experience their choice of more than three dozen activities and speakers throughout the day. They ranged from “Canine Cops” to dancing, face painting, decorating cupcakes, lacrosse, basketball, and a variety of careers speakers.
A special part of the day was an assembly from Rachel’s Challenge with a mission to create a safe, connected school environment.
The Spirit Rally the following week focused on the school’s sports teams and friendly competitions.
Both events are traditions at YSMS.
