The York County Commissioners presented a Proclamation to the York Suburban School District recognizing York Suburban High School’s educational excellence rankings by Newsweek magazine.

 The magazine ranked York Suburban High School:

  • 5th best high school in Pennsylvania
  • 67th best high school in the United States
  • 83rd best high school in the nation for assisting students from low income families to perform at the same levels as other students in the district.

 The Proclamation was read by Commissioner Chris Reilly.  It was accepted by Dr. Michele Merkle, Superintendent of the York Suburban School District.  With her were Dr. Patricia Maloney, Assistant Superintendent, and Dr. Brian Ellis, Principal of York Suburban High School.
