YS School Board Selects Member to Fill Vacancy

John H. Posenau of Spring Garden Township has been selected by the York Suburban Board of School Directors to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of William Kirk.

A resident of the school district for the past 17 years, Mr. Posenau is Director of Business and Technology Services at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.   He holds a B.A. degree in mathematics, with a concentration in computer science, from Christopher Newport University and his master’s degree in computer science from William and Mary College.

The father of two York Suburban High School graduates, he was a member of the York Suburban Technology Subcommittee of the Comprehensive Plan Committee.

A total of 13 district residents applied for the two-year school board position and eight were interviewed during a public meeting on December 9.  Mr. Posenau was selected and sworn into office at that meeting.
