Students’ love-hate relationship with ChromeBooks

by Steven Agapis

ChromeBooks are a big factor in our educational lives. Some students enjoy them outside of school, some only use them inside of school, and others dislike their ChromeBooks.

Freshman Alex Kefauver said,  “I use it at school almost the entire day, and for my homework, but I do not use it on my own time.”

Kefauver said that ChromeBooks “are a very good resource for students to succeed because they know what to do and when.” Kefauver stated, “without ChromeBooks we would not be doing anything that we are doing now because ChromeBooks are the main part of learning.”

Freshman Kevin Bryant said he “very much loves the Chromebook.” He said that “it is an important factor in our education.”

Junior Tyren Posey said he doesn’t like his Chromebook because “they break easily and they are very fragile.”

Jacob Peterson, a freshman, said that he does not like the Chromebook because they are very ̈old and slow .”

Peterson said that ChromeBooks are important to our education because it gives us free access to the internet at all times.  Peterson also believes that we should get new ChromeBooks because ours easily ̈break.

Senior Taylor Scheydt said that he likes his Chromebook although sometimes ̈It takes a while to load things.¨

Scheydt said that in the current education system, it is important to have ChromeBooks because ̈there are not many books and everything is pretty much found online.¨

Sophomore Isabella Fogle, believes that ChromeBooks are important because students know what work they have.¨

Students in YSHS all have different thoughts on the ChromeBooks. No matter what people think of them, they still have a large impact on our education at YSHS. Many students enjoy the impact of their Chromebook because of how much we use them, and other students dislike them for numerous reasons.
