Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

York Suburban High School musical theater presented Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, a fantasy.

It was performed on the 1st and 2nd of March with a school teaser on the 28th of February.

This play took several months of the school year for dedicated students wanting to put on a show for their peers. These dedicated students took countless hours and months to put on this family friendly show.

This years musical was performed on the 1st and 2nd of March with a school teaser on the 28th. There were a lot of laughs from the students in the crowd, which showed enjoyment.

A lot of time went into this years play and relationships were built among a small group of students. Rory Noble a sophomore and a main character in the play, gives some insight on the play. Noble said, “It was the smallest cast we’ve had in a long time. This made us all closer, but resulted in almost everyone playing different characters and thus more stressed out from more costume changes.” She followed up by saying, “I’d encourage other people to do musical because it’s a really gratifying experience to put so much work into a show and see it all come together.”

Senior Hannah Lawton gives her intake on the play. Lawton said, “The musical was good” and followed up by saying “the most interesting part was the dogs.” She described the play as very vivid and there was a lot of stuff happening.

However, there is a lot of work that has to be put in to achieve a wonderful play at the end. Since some people don’t like performing, but still want to be part of musical, there is stage crew. Stage crew does a lot of different things like lighting, sound and more.

From two very different viewpoints and a little bit of background knowledge on the musical, it is easy to see all the hard work put into plays. If anyone wants to make new relationships and is interested in performing arts, go out for the musical.
