Back in 2016, Kanye West announced that he would be running for president in 2020 , Americans were either thrilled or absolutely lost. Now, with Donald Trump, the head of a reality show as the president of the United States, the idea of a rapper as a president was not that far fetched. With that being said, when Oprah Winfrey hinted at running for presidency at the 75th annual Golden Globes, the world went crazy.
The idea of having the first African American female President in the White House, was quickly put to rest. “‘It’s not something that interests me,” she said in an interview published Thursday. “I met with someone the other day who said that they would help me with a campaign. That’s not for me’” Winfrey said in Voanews.
With the sad news that the great Oprah Winfrey would not be sitting in the oval office, president Trump did say that he would gladly run against Oprah. Whether or not the actress and media executive will change her mind regarding her presidential run is up in the air.
