Teachers prepare their students for Keystone Exams

The Keystone Assessments approached fast this year. The testing started Tuesday, May 13th and ran until Friday, May 16th. Since these tests are graduation requirements for the freshman, the teachers and students have been getting ready for these all year.

Most teachers are hectically preparing their students for this packed test. Biology teachers offered an hour of review after school for five days. Biology teacher Erica Styer said that each day they covered about two units of biology after school.

The review sessions were targeted to refresh the students’ minds on what they have been learning about all year.

Styer said “On the first day about 140 students showed up and that it was only the second year doing it.”

The Keystone Exams are test that mirror how well the students of the school are actually doing and how well they are learning, so York Suburban and their teachers have been excitedly preparing for the 2014 round of the exams.
