The YSHS Class of 2017

On May 25, 2017, York Suburban High School graduated 163 students.  Commencement took place in the high school gymnasium and featured six student speakers: Georgia Dumars, Emily Hamberger, Parker Faircloth-Henise, Elizabeth Huh, Alexandra Babinchak, and Samantha Clancy.  The graduating class included 138 students heading off to 64 different colleges and universities, including 36 outside the state of Pennsylvania.  Thirteen students are going to schools traditionally ranked in the top 100 in America by various publications and another 14 are headed to schools in the top 250.  Additionally, the class collected over $2.4 million dollars of scholarships and grants.  The Class of 2017 also includes eight graduates beginning military service, 15 directly entering the workforce, and two students taking extended mission trips.
