The students in Mrs. Guyer’s fifth grade ELA classes met with the students in Mrs. Hare’s and Mrs. Mahorney’s third grade classes for their February writing assignment. Together, the students created plots for their narrative writing pieces, “Stuck in a Snow Globe.” The third graders gave the fifth graders events related to the conflict and resolution, and the fifth graders then enhanced and developed the plot events into narratives with themselves as the characters. Once the writing was complete, the classes met to share their narratives and make snow globes that reflect their stories’ adventures.
