York Suburban Sports Round Up

Submitted by Matt Marshall, Athletic Director

Boys Basketball: The boys finished the year on a strong note, winning their last three games. The team has built a strong foundation for a very promising future. The freshman team lost only one game and the junior high team celebrated an undefeated season. We are very optimistic about the future of Boys Basketball at YS!

Girls Basketball:  The girls had a great second half of the season. They recently secured the sixth seed in the District 3 Playoffs, and secured a first round bye before playing Bishop McDevitt. The girls have been battle-tested in a very strong Division II conference. Best of the luck to the girls as they move into the playoffs!

Wrestling: The wrestlers are heading into individual postseason with sectionals at South Western High School on Saturday, February 18. The team finished its regular season with an exciting 45-45 victory over York-Tech winning on criteria. The Junior High team capped off a fantastic season by winning the Hershey Wrestling Tournament. The junior high boys were undefeated in the regular season, and show great promise for the future of Wrestling at YS. Best of luck to all of the boys at sectionals!

Swimming: Both the boys and girls teams have carried on the York Suburban swim program tradition of excellence. The girls and boys finished  first in Division II and both teams now chase titles as they move into the postseason. The hard work, dedication and commitment  throughout the season should lead to a very successful postseason. We wish our YS swimmers the best of luck!
