Chromebooks Go 1:1 in Elementary Schools

Did you know we are 1:1 with Chromebooks at Indian Rock and East York?  Our district is committed to providing a variety of tools and our Chromebooks are just one of the many utensils teachers are using to engage students.  Children are NOT plugged in all day, but 1:1 allows for quick and easy access. YSSD  grade 3-5 students are utilizing Chromebooks for individualized engaging activities as well as whole group instruction and assessments, making checks for understanding way more fun and allowing teachers to provide immediate feedback.   Many of the online tools allow for diversified instruction tailored to individual needs. This online access prepares our 21st Century learners and enhances research, creative thinking, collaboration, and communication.
