As has become an annual event at York Suburban Middle School, 18 students from eighth grade have completed their applications to become Big Brothers and Big Sisters (BBBS) to nine Yorkshire Elementary second graders. From the 18 that have applied, nine will be accepted into the program after personal interviews are complete, as BBBS makes every effort to match eighth grade student personalities with second grade student needs. YSMS Big Brothers and Big Sisters will walk from the school as a group to Yorkshire every Thursday to help their second grade “littles” with homework, play games, and build a positive relationship based on trust and dedication. This valuable program is set to begin during the second week of October…good luck to all!
