In the fall, volunteers from St. John’s Lutheran Church met with Yorkshire Elementary principal, Dr. Kimberly Stoltz, to inquire about how to provide assistance to the students at Yorkshire. The partnership started with backpacks of school supplies for some of our students, helping them get a great start on the school year. The team effort expanded this February with the Weekend Food Backpack Program. St. John’s, along with the Pennsylvania Food Bank, provides weekend meals to students. Yorkshire is grateful for the wonderful community support.
